Our Nocturnal Zoo/ Accommodation with a difference is located in beautiful Mount Evelyn, bordering the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges. Wineries, Puffing Billy, Healesville Sanctuary and the Warburton Trail are all close by.

We not only have farm animals but also offer our guests the chance to get up close and personal with some of Australia's most iconic and friendly animals. Some of our animals you can meet on our free nocturnal tours and learn about include kangaroos, wombats, dingoes, wallabies, sugar gliders, bettongs, owls and more...


Night Tours

For guests staying in our accommodation, we run a free night tour for guests where you can experience the zoo at night, please check Zoo HQ (building near the swimming pool) for session time.

Self Guided Tours

Whilst staying in our accomodation,, guests are able to walk through the zoo at their leisure and experience our animals who are awake during the daylight hours.

The rest will come to life at night.

We have accommodation to suit most groups of people.

The accommodation is themed as Colonial Australia and each building has access to our Nocturnal TV channel where you can watch things such as a wombat in its burrow.

Our Animals

Yarra Valley Nocturnal Zoo has an extensive range of native animals and a few non native.

We have most of the iconic Australian animals and is a great place to get up and close to your favorite animals.

Nocturnal Tours

When night falls the animals awaken. Our lights are turned on and the animals start to play. Enjoy an Australian Zoo experience at night. A truly unique time. These tours will be open to the public for guests who are not staying in the accommodation. Please inquire through our website for availability and prices.

Please enjoy all of the Zoo Keepers achievements of making the Yarra Valley Nocturnal Zoo what it is today.

We offer Community Groups the chance to get up close and personal, learn about and experience our Native Animals. Each Tour runs weekdays from 10.30am til 12pm and is guided by our Zoo Keeper Participants. Please note this is an educational experience designed for our Zoo Keepers to showcase the animals. This is a free experience and inquire through our website.
